Year 10 Student from UISG
Growing up with 2 ethnicities: Japan and China, Catherine’s life is filled with surprise and excitement. She is now a year 10 student in UISG secondary, and is getting ready to enter the Diploma Programs of IB. She has faced various challenges and dilemmas over her last 16 years on Earth and still struggles to cope with them up until now. However, the set of wonderful friends she has gives her hope in life as well as new ideas she wants to explore. Catherine likes dogs and hopes that she will get one soon as well. She hopes her TEDx talk will give hope to some people who are struggling to find true happiness in their lives.
Doyun Kim
Year 11 Student from UISG
Doyun Kim is a student in UISG. He was born in Korea but spend more time in Guangzhou compare to times in his home country. He is an energetic passionate person who always tries to do a step more than what he can. Due to his friendly characteristic, he often brings joy to his people around. He is interested in different sports and activities and always questions stuff that might have been somewhat odd but interesting.

Minerva Shen is a Y11 UISG student who has lived in Guangzhou for the vast majority of her life. Minerva has a wide range of interests ranging from sports to music. One thing Minerva enjoys in life is asking herself big and challenging questions - whether or not she can answer them is a different matter. Nevertheless, Minerva enjoys sharing her thoughts and ideas with others. Through her TEDx Talk, Minerva hopes to not only share her ideas but also interact with others to broaden her perspective.

Alfi has over 5 years of experience in coaching, training and consulting, Passionate about training and public speaking, Alfi has organized many training activities and served as a guest speaker. Alfi excels at developing training materials from everyday life and work, enabling her to impress participants with her authentic, practical and relatable training style. Alfi values personal growth and believes "possible in the world, possible for everyone". Alfi is also a Registered Financial Planner, a certified Breakthrough Consultant, and a certified NLP Master Practitioner from NLP University in the US.
Juno Guo
Business Public Speaking Coach
Juno Guo has been a Business Public Speaking Coach as well as the TEDxShenzhen official Speech Coach for 5 years. His daily work was helping the CEO or the manager do the business presentation and fulfill its Commercial Value. After he became a father, he find out his real passion is to help the teenager present their idea and build their communication and leadership skill through out making speeches. He quit his job. Now he is a Public Speaking Coach of teenager. He hope one day his students can stand out: telling the world the story happened in China, show the kindness as well as wisdom of Chinese ancients, share the diverse idea to the world.

My name is Lin and I’m a mom. I thought I was pretty when I was little. I thought I was going to change the world when I was teenager. I was in a lot of competitions to prove myself in college. I was sure that I was going to be come a CEO in the big corporate world in my twenties. In my thirties, I found grey hair and wrinkles, I am less ambitious and I’m a CEO of a small business. Things don’t go with plans, but I think it’s the beauty of life.
